The Sacramento-Yolo CTE Partnership is a part of a statewide initiative administered by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office to improve the quality and effectiveness of career technical education to better meet the needs of employers in critical industries.
The goal of the Partnership is to improve the knowledge and interest of educators and students in the building trades-clean technologies industry sectors.
The partnership, led by Cosumnes River College and Sacramento City College, is comprised of building & power energy businesses associated with the North State Building Industry Association and the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange, and several high schools and middle schools from Davis Joint Unified School District, Elk Grove Unified School District, Sacramento City Unified School District and Washington Unified School District.

The Sacramento-Yolo Career Technical Education Partnership programs are funded in part pursuant to grant agreement number 09-140, the Sacramento Yolo SB 70 Collaborative: Green Career Pathways from Middle School, through High School, to College. This project was supported by Senate Bill 70, Career Technical Education funds awarded to Cosumnes River and Sacramento City Colleges within the Los Rios Community College District by the California Community College Chancellor's Office.
