CareerGPS events also promote career exploration resources including Whodouwant2be.com and CareerGPS.com, which provides individuals and organizations with one central location to find current, detailed information about which jobs are in high demand in the Sacramento Region, how much they pay, what type of education or training is recommended, and where site visitors can receive the education or training.
Career GPS includes:
- Interactive assembly with an employer panel
- Trade-show style career fair
- Hands-on exhibits
Counselor teams, through the SB70 program, prepare materials for use by other counselors, career specialists, students, and parents. The preparations made by the counselors in preparing these materials include visiting various training programs at different levels, such as community colleges and apprenticeship programs, as well as becoming familiar with the industry through trade shows and worksite visits. Below are the materials prepared by each counselor team.
