Purpose
To give educators "real world" experiences in the building and Power & Energy industries so that they can use these experiences in making academic subjects more relevant and assisting students in making choices about careers and post-secondary education and training. Externs are paid $2,000 for their efforts.

Prior to starting work, teachers and counselors will have completed and returned the Counselor-Teacher’s Application and have attended an orientation (see the application for the schedule of orientations).

Employers are needed to provide educators with 40 hours of "real world" work experiences. Here is your chance to show and educator what your business is like and help them figure out how what they teach can better prepare students to be successful employees.
